I Forgot to Remember

Two years ago I published a very short blog post focusing on a new (for me) word. I intended to commit it to memory.  Well, I forgot to remember to commit it to memory.

I reprise it here in its entirety (further below) in recognition of the Three Rs of Pedagogy:

    1. Repetition
    2. Repetition
    3. Repetition

Should these ever fail, there are two more Rs:

    1. Rinse
    2. Repeat

Without further ado, I revivify the unremembered (until now) post:

I Keep Forgetting

Word of the day:

lethologica:

The inability to remember a particular word or name

Now, if only I could recall this word next time I can’t remember the word I’m looking for…

I think I must try harder to remember to be less “lethological”…

  1. Cheeky post! Repetition is the key to learning so I love the rinse and repeat idea! According to the definition of lethologica I definitely suffer from loganamnosis and that causes great stress! I will write this word down in my journal! Thanks for this Craig!
Ps: Hope you are doing ok, I was going to email you tomorrow to check in and see how you’re doing with the weather and all.

Thanks for giving that ‘tip of the tongue’ moment a name.

Trust work is, well, going (or going well preferably) 😊

    Mandy,

Yes, and I certainly suffer from loganamnosis, as well.

The severe weather wreaked havoc, but I was mainly inconvenienced as opposed to being placed in any kind of danger. Lost power a number of times (rolling blackouts), but never had burst pipes, ran out of water, etc. Thanks for inquiring.

Yes, all is going relatively well–though a bit hectic at times.

I was merely inconvenienced. Others were/are much worse off.
