Bob Jones: Breaker, Breaker 1:9

Following is the newest ‘prophetic word‘ on Bob Jones’ website:

Dream of the Breaker Box

Recently I was shown people sitting in darkness. When I asked why, they responded “the power has gone out!” I climbed a ladder to change the fuse in the breaker box but to my surprise, when I pulled the cover off I found it to be an old clock without hands. I could tell that it was very, very old but once the cover was removed, the face was very clear. On the face of the clock was a farmer holding a pitch fork and bales of hay behind him. I knew the clock had not been used for a very long time. When I reached out to change the fuse, the box caught fire. The heat from the flames was intense but they did not burn me; they radiated my face.

Interpretation

I knew that we, the redeemed of the Lord, were the hands of time. We are the laborers that are going forth into the Lord’s harvest field. The veil has been removed (II Cor. 3:16-18). No longer would we sit in darkness; we as a body will move from one degree of glory to another. It’s harvest time!

II Cor. 3:16-18 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.(NKJ)

Dark Night of the Soul !

For two years the church has gone through the dark night of the soul. It has been brought low and reduced back to it’s’ foundations. We haven’t had the light and power we need for a long time to check the unsaved. The switch will now be turned on to reveal light to our souls.

Light!

Get ready for your light to shine in a very dark time, so those who dwell in darkness will see your light.

Isaiah 60:1-2 Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. (NKJ)

Crossing Over!

The church hasn’t had power to light up and advance the way we were called to do. When the Lord turns on the breaker it will light up our understanding. And with understanding we can accomplish the things He’s called us to do. It’s time for the cross over.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.(NKJ)

Power!

We are ready to go forth in power and might with the holy array of God beaming forth from us bringing healing, deliverance and salvation.

Get ready for light beams to come forth from our hands as we minister. Hab 3:4 His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden.(NKJ)

Authority!

On the Day of Atonement many people were promoted and given new authority to go forth. Now get ready for the Word of God to go forth in power evangelism. Power comes out of the human spirit and anoints the tongue so that it releases evangelism.

In the natural our power comes through a breaker box. In the spirit, the breaker box has been turned off. Our Messiah is turning the breaker on again so get ready for light and power.

Micah 2:13 the Breaker (the Messiah) will go up before them. They will break through, pass in through the gate and go out through it, and their King will pass on before them, the Lord at their head. (NKJ)

The Breaker!

The breaker will give light for breakthrough. In the early 70’s Bob was shown a breaker box and the Lord had His hand on the handle. Bob was told there would be a time He would pull the handle down and connect the power. This year He’s pulling the handle on the breaker and turning on the power.

Looking back on the past (a fading glory) you can change nothing. But looking to the future, you can change now and the future! So turn your back on the past and look forward to today and the future.

NOW IS TIME OF FIRE POWER!

The “two years” referenced in the Dark Night of the Soul! section — could this be referring to the two years that have elapsed since the Lakeland ‘Revival?’   And, his words in the Power! section seem to suggest a new healing ‘revival’ is about to ‘break out.’  Is he ‘prophesying’ the West Coast ‘revival’ that’s been mentioned for quite a while now?  Todd Bentley stated that ‘healing revivals’ were to ‘break out’ in certain cities and regions in this video from Lakeland dated April 25, 2008.

“…In the spirit, the breaker box has been turned off.  Our Messiah is turning the breaker on again so get ready for light and power.”

It needs to be pointed out that in its proper context the Micah 2:13 passage refers to the future reign of Jesus Christ when the remnant of Israel will be finally delivered.  Consequently, this does not refer to the here and now.  Furthermore, the “breaker box,” as Jones calls it — the Holy Spirit — has NOT been turned off!  Also, a breaker box, just like a breaker switch, is turned on by pulling the switch up, not down.

“…Bob was told there would be a time He [the Lord] would pull the handle down and connect the power…”

Bob Jones has a rather fanciful way of interpreting Scripture.  In context, the  II Corintians 3:16-18 passages are stating that at the moment of true salvation the veil is lifted from the believer so that his spiritual eyes can see.  And, once this veil has been removed the believer is brought closer and closer to Christ-likeness by the Spirit.   The believer, then, is an ever-increasing reflection of the Glory of the Lord.  We do not “sit in darkness” as a believer.

It should also be noted that Isaiah 60:1 is a Messianic prophetic passage referring to Jesus Christ’s first coming as it’s the Lord Himself referred to as the “light.”  However, it’s His glory, or ‘light,’ which will be present in believers in verse 2.  But, in the context of the ‘prophecy’ above, Jones is referring to ‘believers’ who do not yet have this light which is a Scriptural contradiction.  If you are a true believer you will have the Spirit, the ‘light.’  Your ‘brightness’ will be in accordance with your walk with Christ — brighter as you walk in the Spirit, dimmer if you walk in the flesh.

“Get ready for light beams to come forth from our hands as we minister.  Hab 3:4 His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden. (NKJ)” [all as per original]

Once again, we find Jones applying a Scripture which refers to God and instead applying it to the believer.  This ‘prophecy’ of “light beams to come forth from our hands” is reminscent of a Todd Bentley vision from 2004:

“In the vision, said Todd, he would try to turn away from the Lord’s gaze because he felt unworthy. Then, suddenly, from his eyes, ears, mouth and entire body came a flash of light and he went through some kind of transformation. Instantly he thought of the glory coming as on the mount of transfiguration when Jesus’ face became as bright as the sun. The same kind of transformation seemed to take place in Todd. As Jesus breathed on Todd, He said, ‘the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.’ As he breathed in “the Spirit of the fear of the Lord,” white beams of light shot from his fingers. Then Jesus explained that the Spirit of the fear of the Lord is what manages the spirit of wisdom, revelation, might, counsel and knowledge. Having a fear of God is what allows the Lord to entrust his people with a greater mantle of wisdom, revelation and knowledge (Isaiah 11). Isaiah 11:2 speaks of the spirit of the fear of the Lord before verse three speaks of delighting in the fear of the Lord.”

Bizarre…

How many times have we heard now that the church has been held down in one or another for however many years but that NOW she is going to burst forth in power? Funny but it never seems to happen just like they predict. And I agree Craig, the power of the Holy Spirit has never been turned off. We may quench the Spirit, but He certainly has not been turned off!

I wondered too if this referred to the end of Lakeland. Seems like a likely guess any way.

I’m also wondering just what is meant by the redeemed are “the hands of time”? Is that just another way of speaking of dominionism by saying that we are what moves time along??

And lastly, I know a gal that told a story some years ago about someone being prayed for and streams of light left the person’s hands that were praying and went to the person being prayed for. Don’t remember if she was the one doing the praying or if she saw it happen to someone else. But it was something that has stuck with me and that I found quite frightening both then and now.

Regarding the “hands of time:” all I can figure is that, according to Jones, the “hands” of the “very, very old” clock were ‘believers’ who had lost the ‘power’ of the Holy Spirit once the switch was turned off about two years ago as “the veil” was over the ‘believers’ during this time. However, now this veil “has been removed.” And, according to Jones, under the Interpretation section the ‘believers’ are the “hands,” the “laborers that are going forth into the Lord’s harvest field.” From there it’s all just guesses…

In his Shepherds Rod prophecy he talks about another time piece Jacobs Watch and says “we are the hands of time” and “these will be our new leaders, the new breed. They will have the wisdom of the time to tell the church what to do.” Make no mistake this is take over talk – he really believes that there will be a new breed a new generation of people who will not get ill, who will not die and who will exercise dominion over the church.

      Jan (2),

Thanks for the link. I don’t have time to review it like I want; however, I will later this weekend. I will likely write an article on it. In the meantime, I want to point out that the Ezekiel 47:1-2 is speaking of a temple that has not even been built yet! From my premillennial leanings I see this as the temple in the upcoming millennial. In any case, since it’s not even in existence right now, how can Jones claim anything at all regarding it in the near future?

Craig, thank you for posting your article.

Not a year goes by without a “prophecy” on how the “church” is to experience a spiritual or financial breakthrough. “Get ready,” they always say. “Your day is right around the corner!” they shout. The Elijah List is full of these prophetic promises, but each year they fail to take place.

But keep in mind that when false prophets mention the word “church,” they are talking about their body of followers, and not solid, Bible-based Christians.

Here is another article on Bob Jones, which points out additional bizarre-ness:

Thanks for the link. Jones has provided “foundational reveleation” to IHOP according to Mike Bickle; and, of course he’s been providing the same for the whole New Order of the Latter Rain / NAR / modern prophetic / etc.

This dream of body parts is not without precedence as Shawn Bolz had a “visitation from an ‘angel'” according to Bolz on Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural” Here are some of Bolz words:

Part of the visitation that I had is that the angel took me into a place that I believe is an allegory of Heaven and it was a place of provision called the storehouse of heaven and he was like the foreman of the storehouse, and in the storehouse was everything Jesus would need in our age to get the fullness of His reward, so the first part of the storehouse that I went to was a room of body parts, physical body parts, whether it was an eyeball, a liver, a hand, a foot, and it was the provision of, if you think about Heaven, is there a need for healing in Heaven?

    http://www.sid-roth.org/2010/04/30/sid-roth-welcomes-shawn-bolz/

However, Shawn Bolz wrote either of this same experience or a different one in one of his books a few years ago. The following exposes other individuals who saw a ‘room full of body parts’ in heaven:

Yeah, the store house of body parts. The same gal I wrote about earlier re the streams of light also told another experience that she was told had happened. Hopefully I am remembering it correctly. Children had been called to pray for those that needed healing. A little girl was shown that some lady needed a new heart, or perhaps the lady had said she had heart problems but I think it was the former. I believe it was an angel that supposedly came and put a new heart in the little girls hands, (invisible of course!) and she went and placed her hands on the ladies chest. And guess what, to top it all off, when she took her hands away you could see two little golden hands left on the ladies chest.

It truly is not made up!

Regarding the body parts in heaven: given that we are all formed from the dust of the earth, why would we think God would need a storehouse of spare body parts to heal us? Couldn’t He just form them from the dust of the earth?

I just tried to read Bob Jones Shepherd’s Rod prophecy for 2009 but so help me, I gave up half way through it. Such a tangled up bunch of symbolism I haven’t seen in a long time. Since I read the last one anyway! Guess he tries to outdo Ezekiel’s wheel within a wheel, etc.

But what really got to me–again–was how his prophecies never come true. Indeed how they contradict themselves from year to year. 2009 was supposed to be a marvelous year with all of those signs and wonders, and the Holy Spirit just moving greatly.

And now didn’t we just read in his latest word that Craig posted above that the Holy Spirit has been turned off for the last two years??? So I guess when the Spirit gave that great prophecy to Jones in 2009 He was really turned off but said He was going to do all of this great stuff anyway?!?

How do people continue to hang on every word this man and others like him speak anyway? I find it hard to believe that people can get so hooked on the prophetic that they can’t even see such huge discrepancies. Of course, if a prophet ony has to be 66 percent right in order to still be a valid prophet like these folks teach, then anything is possible. It boggles the mind!

  10. Bud Press says:

To the discerning Christian, the claims of “body parts in heaven” is so utterly ridiculous it hardly warrants mentioning. But it needs to be addressed because people have been conditioned to believe it.

One of the obvious and glaring contradictions to the claims of “body parts in heaven” is the fact that Jesus didn’t mention it, nor did the Holy Spirit inspire the Apostles to write about it.

However, IF it were true, when Jesus raised the dead, was the dead body replaced by a new body from the heavenly body parts storehouse? After all, Bob Jones and others say there are plenty of body parts to go around. So, why not a complete body? Think about it.

Don’t be surprised at what their fertile imaginations come up with next.

As a side note, when God created the heavens and the earth, He didn’t instuct His angels to do a storehouse inventory for the planets, stars, sun, etc., then sling them into space. God created them. Yet, if Bob Jones taught a “heavenly space storehouse,” his followers would believe it.

Further, “body parts in heaven” contradicts 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 where, when Jesus returns, the believer will undergo the change from perishable to imperishable, and mortal to immortal. In heaven, there will be no tears, sadness, pain, or death (Revelation 21:1-5).

Those who follow Bob Jones and other “leaders” within the Prophetic Movement need to realize that they have been conditioned to accept what is obviously ridiculous, and that the deception will grow stronger before Jesus returns.

Now would be a good time to separate from the Prophetic Movement and renounce its Body Parts Prophets, and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The comment about the Breaker reminded me of something I read in Bullinger, and I think these people veil their words in symbols that only the “initiated” will understand. When you read below what somebody said about this constellation, you now see that the Breaker (in their eyes) has to do with Joel’s Army destroying their opponents.

    7. Perseus (The Breaker) – Delivering the redeemed

Again, Bullinger’s words say it all: “We see a glorious ‘Breaker’ taking His place before His redeemed, breaking forth at their head, breaking down all barriers, and breaking the heads of Leviathan and all his hosts. In His right hand He has His ‘sore, and great, and strong sword’ lifted up to smite and break down the enemy. He has wings on His feet, which tells us that He is coming very swiftly. In His left hand he carries the head of the enemy, whom He has slain.”

The Greeks called the head Perseus was carrying Medusa, “being ignorant that its Hebrew root meant ‘the trodden under foot.'” (3) The head is also called Rosh Satan – the head of the adversary, Al Oneh – the subdued, and Al Ghoul – the evil spirit.

On April 11th in two consecutive years (1996 and 1997) a comet has passed through this constellation in the head of Medusa at a point almost right between the eyes. The paths of comets Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp formed the shape of a cross where they converged. This seems like a replay of the story of David and Goliath with the comet or “dirty snowball” hitting the enemy between the eyes.

This is from Wikedpedia about Bullinger. I have most of his books and the one on the dispensations is, as they say “ultra” !

Bullinger is the originator of Ultradispensationalism, at times referred to as Bullingerism.[10] Ultradispensationalism differs from dispensationalism with regard to the beginning of the church. Mainstream dispensationalists hold that the church began in Acts 2, while ultradispensationalists believe the church began at some point after Acts 2 (i.e., Acts 9-13 or after Acts 28). Bullinger’s views included mortality of the soul, the cessation of the soul between death and resurrection.[11] While Bullinger did not express any views concerning the final state of the lost, many of his followers did hold to annihilationism. Bullinger was editor of a monthly journal Things to Come for 19 years, and contributed many articles.

Bullinger described dispensations as divine “administrations” or “arrangements” wherein God deals at distinct time periods and with distinct groups of people “on distinct principles, and the doctrine relating to each must be kept distinct”. He emphasizes that “Nothing but confusion can arise from reading into one dispensation that which relates to another.” {Companion Bible,[12]} He listed seven dispensations in the Bible:

The Dark Night of the Soul isn’t spoken of in scripture. Just for kicks – http://www.themystic.org/dark-night/
quoting<> In Christ we have hope and we are never alone. I have heard this phrase used by Todd Bentley years ago. I have also heard it from John Paul Jackson. Both of these men are dangerous to the faith, extremely mystical in their “teachings” and don’t adhere one bit to the true context of scripture.

Bob Jones has also prophesied over Bethel and Bill Johnson. Heidi Baker whose Iris Ministries has “wedded” (their words) to Bethel has also had dreams or visions of the body part room in heaven in which she was invited to visit anytime someone needed one. As best I can tell the body part room phenomena has spread throughout the NAR and healing room ministries. I’ve heard other people who I used to “minister” with refer to it.

Bob Jones made a claim a few years ago, or it was a few years ago I first heard it that the Lord God spoke the word “Ichabod” to him, and that it meant the glory of God left the church. This supposedly happened in 1977 and Bob was encouraged by the Lord that he would have something to do with the glory returning. This runs along the same lines as their teachings that the church missed it, even the apostles had it wrong and is why the church is so ineffective.

When it comes right down to it none of these people have anything new to say, altho they think they do. I hope the day comes soon when the truth shines from heaven and the lost followers see them for who they are and repent. That would be a true awakening or revival.

    Thanks Craig. 🙂
